Refund policy

The short version

Every cabinet we make is built to order, to your sizes, after you approve a drawing. Once it is cut, it can't go back on a shelf. So we put the checks up front: a drawing before we build, and an inspection with you at pickup. If we got something wrong, we fix it.

Before we build

After you order, we email you a drawing of your cabinets with every size, finish and option. Nothing is cut until you approve it. You can change or cancel your order at any point before approval for a full refund.

Please check the drawing carefully. The sizes on it are what we build. If a size on the approved drawing doesn't fit your space, that is not a defect, but we will always do what we can to help, usually at the cost of the parts and time involved.

After you approve the drawing

Cabinets, vanities, countertops and painted or custom-coloured parts are final sale once the drawing is approved and we have started building. If you need to cancel after that, we refund whatever hasn't been cut or finished yet, less the cost of the materials and work already done.

At pickup

We inspect every order with you before it leaves the workshop. If anything is damaged, the wrong size, the wrong finish or missing, we make it right on the spot or rebuild the part at no cost. Please bring your drawing or order confirmation.

After pickup

If you find a defect after you get home, email photos to info@xcabinets.ca within 48 hours of pickup. We repair or replace defective parts at no charge. Damage from transport in your vehicle, installation, water or misuse isn't covered.

Cabinets are made within ±1/16" (1.5 mm) of the sizes on your order in width, height and depth. A difference within that tolerance is not a defect.

Hardware and stock items

Handles, pulls and knobs bought on their own can be returned within 30 days of pickup, unused and in their original packaging, for a full refund. Hardware that was fitted to your cabinets is part of the cabinet order.

Warranty

We warrant our cabinets against defects in materials and workmanship for one year from pickup, for the original purchaser, used in a normal indoor residential setting. Blum hinges and drawer slides carry Blum's own lifetime warranty. The warranty covers repair or replacement of the defective part at our workshop. It doesn't cover normal wear, natural variation in wood grain and colour, fading from sunlight, damage from moisture or standing water, improper installation, or alterations.

Refunds

Refunds go back to the original payment method within 10 business days of being approved. Your bank or card issuer may take a few more days to show it.
